Ceps | Penny Bun | Fresh Wild Porcini Mushrooms Foraged in Scotland & Europe

Price range: £12.50 through £24.00

Fresh Ceps (Porcini / Penny Bun mushrooms), hand-foraged in Scotland & Europe. A gourmet favourite prized for their rich, nutty flavour.

Celebrate the wild flavours of the season with Ceps, also known as Penny Bun or Porcini mushrooms, a true delicacy for chefs and food lovers. These mushrooms are celebrated worldwide for their rich, nutty, and earthy flavour, making them one of the most sought-after wild ingredients in fine dining.

Ceps typically appear in abundance after heavy rainfall following a hot, dry summer. For quality control, many of our Ceps are cut in half to ensure they are free from maggots and reach you in the best possible condition.

Forager’s Tip:
One of the easiest ways to find Ceps is to look for the red and white Fly Agaric mushrooms. Although they may not appear at the same time, both species thrive in symbiosis – a telltale sign you’re in good cep territory.
